What is Paymix SoftPOS
Paymix SoftPOS is payment acceptance technology that allows merchants to accept card payments via an app on their phone without the need for any additional hardware. Currently the existing software POS solutions work only with the Android OS.
Who can register for Paymix SoftPOS, and what are the registration steps?
Any business registered in Germany or Malta can register and use Paymix SoftPOS. To get started, follow these steps:

Download the Paymix SoftPOS app from the Google Play Store.

Utilize our seamless identity confirmation technology. Once these steps are completed, you’ll be ready to accept payments.
When will I gain access to my SoftPOS account?
Typically, your SoftPOS account will be activated within 24 hours of registration, unless additional personal information or documentation is required. You will receive a notification when your registration is accepted, enabling you to activate your Paymix SoftPOS terminal.
I did not receive a verification code for the Paymix SoftPOS application. What should I do?
If you haven’t received the verification code, simply click the “RESEND CODE” button. If the issue persists, please contact our support team at sales@paymix.eu Do not clear the cache or delete the app.
I forgot my password. What should I do?
If you’ve forgotten your password, use the “Forgot your password?” option within the app and follow the provided instructions to reset it.
I no longer have access to the phone where Paymix SoftPOS was installed. What should I do?
If you’ve changed your device, you can easily resolve this by downloading the Paymix SoftPOS app from the Google Play Store onto your new device. Then, log in using the same credentials you used during registration.
What types of reports can I access on Paymix SoftPOS?
From the Sales Page within the application, you can download a daily transaction list.
How can I add extra terminals to my account?
To add an additional terminal, navigate to the “add terminal” option in the settings page. Please note that there is an additional monthly charge of 2 euros for each extra terminal.
How can I determine if a transaction is successful on my SoftPOS?
Upon successfully reading a payment card or device, you will hear a unique set of notes indicating the approval of the transaction. Additionally, the payment info screen will display “Payment is successful.” On the receipt, a green-highlighted “Approved” status indicates a successful transaction, while a red-highlighted “Declined” status signifies an unsuccessful one. You can find a list of all transactions in the Transaction tab, categorized as All/Sale/Void/Refund.
How can I share a payment receipt with the customer?
After completing a transaction, simply tap the QR code icon within the app. This will generate a unique QR code for that specific transaction, which the customer can scan and save on their device. Alternatively, you have the option to send the receipt to the customer via email.
How can I process a refund for a transaction?
To initiate a refund, select the specific transaction that requires a refund from the Transactions/Sale page. A pop-up window will appear, offering options to either Void or Refund the transaction. It’s important to note that Void is used for cancelling transactions on the same day, while Refund is used to reverse transactions on the next business day.
What types of devices are compatible with the Paymix SoftPOS application?
Paymix SoftPOS is compatible with any “off-the-shelf” NFC (Near Field Communication) Android phone or tablet running OS Android 14 and above.
What payment methods are supported by Paymix SoftPOS?
Paymix SoftPOS supports all forms of NFC-enabled wearables, contactless cards, and mobile wallets. If you’re using a physical card, look for the contactless indicator on the card.
Why should I choose Paymix SoftPOS?
Paymix SoftPOS offers an ideal payment solution for customers who prefer quick and convenient payments. It allows merchants to transform any Android 14 and above mobile device into a secure and efficient payment terminal.
Are Paymix SoftPOS payments secure?
Yes, Paymix SoftPOS payments are secure and employ industry-standard security and encryption technologies, adhering to established security protocols, including those used in EMV chip cards.
Where should the customer tap their card or device for payment?
Customers should locate the NFC antenna on their card or enabled device and hold it in proximity to the SoftPOS device until the payment is accepted. Typically, the NFC antenna on a mobile device is located on the top back or front, depending on the device manufacturer.
What should I do if my transaction does not process?
If a transaction does not process, please ensure that your device has an active data/internet connection, confirm that the mobile device’s cover is removed, verify that the NFC option is turned on, and then retry tapping the card or device.
What is the transaction limit for contactless transactions on Paymix SoftPOS?
Paymix SoftPOS can accept payment amounts up to €50.00 for contactless transactions. If the transaction amount exceeds €50.00, the customer will be prompted to input a unique card PIN number.
How should I certify my personal documents?
To certify personal documents, seek certification from a qualified professional, such as a lawyer, accountant, or notary. They will confirm the document’s authenticity, review the content, and verify the attached photo. If the documents are outside the EU, you may need to obtain an apostille. The certifier should sign, date, and provide their name, profession, and contact details. Non-English documents must be accurately translated and certified by an independent translator.
How can I upload additional documents if requested?
If additional documentation is required, our Underwriting team will send a request to your registered email address. From there, you can respond and send any requested documents via email.
What is a Politically Exposed Person (PEP)?
A Politically Exposed Person (PEP) includes individuals who hold prominent public positions. This definition encompasses various roles, such as Heads of State, Ministers, Members of Parliament, members of high-level judicial bodies, and more, both at the national and international levels. It also includes their immediate family members and persons known to be close associates.
What are FATCA (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act) and CRS (Common Reporting Standards)?
If you qualify as a specified U.S. person under FATCA Law and/or as a reportable person under CRS Law and assuming the FATCA Law and CRS Law impose obligations on us (in either case, as a “Reportable Account Holder”), the following data will be automatically exchanged by us, as a reporting financial institution under these laws, with the local tax authorities. The latter will exchange this information with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service if FATCA Law applies and/or, if CRS Law applies, with the competent authority or authorities of your respective country or countries of tax residence that are participating jurisdictions under CRS Law:
